Arborek Dive Centre is proud to be a founding partner of Molobin Raja Ampat (MORA), an organization dedicated to empowering local women through diving and marine conservation. As the Vice-Chairman of MORA, our founder Githa Anathasia leads efforts to train Papuan women as professional divers and conservationists, giving them the skills needed to build sustainable careers in the diving industry.
MORA focuses on enhancing women's roles in marine conservation, offering dive training and leadership opportunities that allow them to protect the rich biodiversity of Raja Ampat. By increasing local women’s participation in tourism and conservation, MORA helps strengthen the community while preserving Raja Ampat’s marine ecosystems for future generations.
Through our collaboration with Women in Ocean Science's Empower Ocean initiative, Arborek Dive Shop expands its mission to empower women in Raja Ampat by providing them with hands-on experience in ocean science and conservation. The program connects local women with dive training opportunities, offering them opportunities to participate in coral restoration, manta ray monitoring, and community-led conservation initiatives.
At Arborek Dive Centre, we are actively involved in coral restoration projects to help monitor and rehabilitate the vibrant reef ecosystems of Raja Ampat. Through coral transplantation and reef monitoring, we work with our communities and conservation organisations to restore damaged coral reefs and promote biodiversity. These efforts not only protect marine life but also ensure that future generations can experience the beauty of Raja Ampat’s underwater world. Every dive you take with us contributes directly to these vital conservation initiatives.
